The origin of hip- hop music is the form of African American and West African music. The contribution of frost like the last poets, Jalal Mansur Nurriddin and Gil Scott- Heron were the significant in a big way for the advent of hip-hop in the 1960s. Hip-hop had originally begun in the Bronx. In the beginning, the DJs at these parties began to be more entertaining and groovy. These methods had become widespread in Jamaica and had spread considerably in the New York community via the Jamaican immigrants.

This type of music and culture was produced since the 1970s, when the block parties have become increasingly and popular in New York City and particularly among the African –American youth residing in the Bronx. In this type of hip hop music is included the two types of music like: funk music and soul music. DJs began isolating the percussive breaks of the popular songs.

Kool DJ Herc and Grandmaster Flash were the pioneers in the hip-hop industry and other DJs had extended and little percussion interludes of funk music records and created a more danceable sound. As a result the remixes has more become popular with the advent of mixing and scratching techniques. The various types and styles of hip-hop music had developed in the golden age of hip-hop.

As a present, the hip-hop music is enjoyed and more popular all around the world. In spite, of all the controversies created by hip-hop artists they are still growing in numbers. The hip-hop music is sold and all over in the world in the stores and even online.
